How do we do this? By identifying profitable economic activity through Christian owned and managed for-profit businesses that can be increased through a LegUp relationship that offers interest free funds for needed capital as well as free advisory support to develop and execute a business plan suitable to each context.

At LegUp, we are committed to empowering individuals and communities in economically developing regions by fostering opportunities for sustainable growth and prosperity. Rooted in our Christian faith, we believe that everyone has God-given talents and the potential to achieve meaningful goals. By providing access to resources, mentorship, and capital, we enable local entrepreneurs to build businesses that transform lives and uplift entire communities.

Our mission is inspired by the words of Galatians 6:9-10:

"Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith."

We are a group of Christians with diverse business backgrounds, including founders, executives, and leaders across various industries. United by our faith and a shared commitment to service, we are dedicated to using the resources we’ve been blessed with—our time, talents, and treasures—to uplift others.

As we enter the 3rd and 4th quarters of our lives, we feel called to channel our experience, wisdom, and resources toward empowering individuals and communities in need. Through LegUp, we strive to create opportunities that reflect God’s love, foster dignity, and build a legacy of sustainable change.

Our Beliefs

A for-profit business must produce goods or services that are voluntarily desired by others, meeting people where they are and addressing real needs. This practical connection to the community creates a sustainable source of income that breaks cycles of dependency, enabling individuals to give back and foster further growth. We see business as a tool for fulfilling the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20, spreading the gospel through practical, daily interactions in the workplace and community.

We believe and want to put into practice what we read in our Bibles in Galatians 6: 9-10; Romans 12:10-13; 1 Timothy 6:17-19; Acts 20:33-35; 1 Thessalonians 4:9-12; Ephesians 4:28; 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12.

At the heart of our mission is the conviction that every person is created in the image of God and is of equal value, regardless of their background or circumstances. LegUp’s approach is personal and relational: we see individuals, not categories or classes of people. Through our support, we hope they will become agents of sustainable change, creating ripples of positive impact in their communities.

We uphold the belief that all human labor is honorable and dignified, a value established from the very beginning when God placed Adam in the garden to work it. Managing a business with Christian principles allows owners to embody the teachings of Christ, becoming salt and light to employees, suppliers, customers, and the broader community.
